Pt 3: Prosperity Consciousness Power

  Candy's Photo 2Exploration of Consciousness

There is no absence of God in the Universe, and there is no shortage in God. The only lack in life is the thought of lack. You are always as rich as you think you are, and the only poverty is of the Spirit.”    – Eric Butterworth

Dear Heartlove.pngFriend,

In this third post on this theme, we are continuing to explore the idea of consciousness through the lens that prosperity is our inheritance and birthright as a child of the creator.

Every one of us has power that is infinite super-powersby virtue of our connection to the Infinite. With that being said, as co-creators with God, this Divine Presence can do no more for you than It can do through you.

The question becomes, how does our state of mind contribute to our experience of prosperity or poverty.  So, let me ask you:

Could you use more prosperity?

Would the power to be happier, freer, and stronger be  a prosperous experience for you?the-law-of-attraction-quotes-1.png

How about more power at work? Or more power to have deeper, more loving relationships?

What about more confidence, more energy, more money, and more fun?

Iyanla Vanzant, author, offers this insight,At the highest spiritual level, you are made in the image and the likeness of the creator—whatever you call that creator—the source of life, the source of all things. You are one with that source….with the same inherent light and the ability to create. This is your birthright. You were born with power. No one can take it away.”

If you are anything like me, you may have to remind yourself time and again that, It’s up to you to learn how to give intelligent direction to the creative power that is moving through and within you right now.

As Vishen Lakhiani, powerfully reminds us in his new book, The Code of the Extraordinary Mind, “The overriding factor that will contribute most to anyone’s success, is our attitude and our thoughts about wealth, abundance, and money.”

I am about six weeks post surgery, and my recovery is coming along remarkably well. At this point in time I am feeling better— meaning experiencing less pain and more energy—than I have in the past 40+ years.

I am so grateful for all the prayers and angels who have supported me getting through three surgeries in the past 13 months. I jokingly call myself the bionic woman, but the truth is, I feel like my life has been extended at least another 10 years when I’ll be close to 100 years young.

Unless the Universe has other plans for me, I intend to still be coaching and blogging. My desire is to continue serving humanity and making a difference in the lives of people from the consciousness of more love, harmony, and peace.

In scripture we find Jesus offering this advice on reducing your experience of stress, worry and anxiety, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink – your Father knows that you need these things. Instead strive for his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.”   Luke 12: 22-31

Nature and Abundance

Jesus used the ravens and flowers to illustrate that abundance is a natural part of creation. He pointed out that the birds neither

sow nor reap, yet God feeds them. He also used the example of the lilies to illustrate that they neither toil nor spin, yet God clothes them.

However, Jesus was not saying be lazy and do nothing. Rather, he was saying that what is natural in nature, is natural for us as divine children of God.

The difference is we have a choice. You can choose the path of struggle, worry and anxiety or the path of inner peace, ease and grace.

If you accept, according to the Law of Attraction that you experience what you focus on, then you understand that you are at choice.

Something to Think About

Does focusingnature on the abundance in nature feel better? Does it inspire you to align your consciousness with the universal principles of prosperity?

Think about it….. RIGHT NOW!  Take a moment and think about the stars, can you count them?

Think about a sandy beach, can you count the grains of sand?

Think about an apple. You can count the seeds in an apple, but can you count the apples in a seed?

Our experiences in life are designed to give us the ability to grow in our awareness of our Divine Source. Our choices then, are about supporting the natural unfolding of that power.

Prosperity Practices continued

Meanwhile, here are 7 additional practices offered to support you in your journey of developing/cultivating/enhancing your consciousness of prosperity:

  • Practice 5. Consciously Incorporate Positive Affirmations and  Declarations.
    Prosperity Affirmatiom
    Prosperity Affirmation

Nature abhors a vaccum, therefore, as you release what is no longer working for you, fill that inner vaccum  with positive affirmations and declarations.

  • Practice 6. Forgive Others and Yourself. Forgiveness is essentially part of the letting go process. When you carry grievances and grudges you are poisoning yourself. Forgiveness is for your peace of mind and well-being.
  • Practice 7.  Become a Deep Giver. Give what you think is being withheld from you (love, friendship, appreciation, smile, money, etc). The universe operates on an in- flow and an energetic out-flow. The more you give, the more you receive.
  • Practice 8. Cultivate an Attitude of Surrender. Surrender to the idea that everything you experience is for your growth and part of your spiritual journey, even when it is disguised as a challenge. Trust that the Universe conspires for your good.

Remember Nelson Mandela’s quote, “I never lose. I either win or I learn.”

  • Practice 9. Be Grateful. Take a deep breath, and daily

write ten things in your life that are good.

  •  Practice 10. PUT GOD FIRST. Experiment. Commit to consistently doing these practices for 30 days, See what happens.
  •  Practice 11. Become the Change You Want to See. Use the above powerful practices from the intention of becoming who you have come here to be.

Consider this saying by Robert Holden, author of Shift Happens. He writes, “It is because the world is so full of war, that your peace of mind is a gift. It is because the world is in such despair, that your hope and optimism is a gift. It is because the world is so afraid, that your love is a gift.”

Prove to yourself whether or not these powerful practices shift you into a deeper awareness of the Divine Presence within and a more expansive realization of true prosperity consciousness.

Now let’s move on to the last segment of the….

Lessons Learned Vignette

Along with familiar biblical examples, this visiting minister shared his personal story of a dark period in his life of surrenderdiscouragement and depression. What impressed me about his story was how he chose to be present to this dark experience. In other words, without trying to resist or fight to overcome it, he surrendered to it.

It was my introduction to a new way of thinking about how to respond to challenges.

Insight #1: “What you resist, persist.”

Insight #2: “What you fight, you incite and invite as your experience.”

Instead of trying to make things happen, it’s more about allowing God/Spirit/Source/Divine intelligence work through you Yes, I know, it is now a common understanding via the Law of Attraction, that what we give energy to, expands. However, at that time, it was a revolutionary insight and healing for my soul.

My Transformed Focus

Woohoo! I felt like he was speaking directly to me. I walked out of that service with renewed hope and an entirely different perspective of our situation.

I now accepted our situation as a part of the spiritual journey. With this different perspective and with consistent, dedicated spiritual practices of letting go of worry, anxiety and fear, I began freeing myself. The heavy burden of shame and humiliation that had held my head mired under the label “failure” began to lift.

Higher Perspective
Higher Perspective

I stopped defining myself as a failure. My unrelenting focus on our losses began to dissipate as I shifted my attention to the gain and gift our situation offered.

This realization was life giving. We became comfortable with the discomfort of not knowing how how needs would be met. It became an adventure of observing the means, methods that Spirit used to meet all of our needs in ways we couldn’t have imagined.

Remember our intention and desire to serve full-time in the ministry? Well that is exactly what unfolded for us. Only more powerfully and expansively than we had envisioned. Under the mentoring, support and guidance of the Unity ministry and transformative teachings, we were reenergized, revitalized and reinvented in our ability to serve many churches.

We felt abundantly prospered. Jesus’ proclamation that he came to give us life more abundantly is a promise that you can embrace and experience in and through every area of your life. Try it, you might like it!

If you know of someone who desires more peace, calm and abundance consciousness in their life, do them a favor and share this post with them.

Pt 2: Power Prosperity Consciousness

  1. Candy's Photo 2Exploration of Consciousness

Dear Heartlove.pngFriend,

In this post we are continuing our exploration on the topic of prosperity consciousness. As promised, I’m sharing  practices you can use to support you in your journey of creating and or expanding a consciousness of thriving.

This post also includes another segment of my story of losses and how those losses propelled me into a way of life of more peace, ease, grace and abundance.

Have you ever experienced a moment in your life where you felt discouraged, depressed and wondered, “if this is all there is in life, then just let me get out of here NOW!”

In the first part of my story in the previous post on this topic, I ended sharing my feelings of shame and sense of failure . Our life was in shambles and the chaos surrounding our financial situation threatened our marriage, our credibility as christian ministers, and most of all our sanity. It was a very dark period.

But, the good news is there is more toaha_title1 the story.  Keep reading…. If you have ever had an aha moment which shifted your perception and experience, I believe you will relate to this next segment:

Part 2: Lesson Learned

Fortunately, as I now know, my first visit to a New Thought/Ancient Wisdom Unity Church in ’84 was by “divine order.”

The visiting minister spoke from the difficult to understand scripture in Matthew 11:12, “… until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.”

I had always interpreted that scripture to mean you had to fight/resist the devil in order to get into heaven/kingdom.

This minister’s take on this scripture was totally different.

The point he made was, we are on a spiritual journey that includes the broad spectrum of challenges on one end, and triumps on the other.

He referenced the scripture in Psalms 139:12 that says darkness and light are the same to God.

The meaning that I heard that morning was different from my earlier understanding and belief system.

I heard, God is with you, loving you, supporting you, lightkrebs.png?w=590you, guiding inspiring you, protecting you, no matter where you are on the dark/light spectrum of life.

It’s a journey on which there is no separation between you and God.

My understanding was deepened of the scripture in Romans             that states, “…Nothing can separate you from the love of God…”

There is no separation. It’s a journey on which you have the opportunity to learn, grow and expand in character and consciousness…

Story to be continued in next post…    Meanwhile Read On

Exploration of Consciousness

As previously stated, both prosperity and poverty are states of mind.

Despite what material goods and wealth an individual may have, a poverty state of mind focuses on the visible and what it doesn’t have.  A poverty state of mind holds the consciousness of “not enoughness.”

Conversely, a prosperity state of mind focuses on the higher dimension of the invisible and holds the consciousness of possibilities and potential and “more than enough.”

As we know, everything visible is created out of the invisible. It is first an idea in mind and then manifested in form.

A New Testament scripture expresses it this way:
“So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2nd Corinthians 4:18

The purpose of life is growth toward spiritual maturity. It is to become fully aware of the ultimate power within us that we call God.

The belief that there is a Presence or superpower within every individual is common in almost all cultures.

Jung called this Presence God; Jesus = Father; Greeks=  Daimon (positive and dynamic inner power); Egyptians = Ba/Soul; Romans = Genuis.

Through this inner awareness you gain conscious power and dominion over your life.

We are exploring prosperity consciousness from the premise that a life that reflects true prosperity is continuously pursuing  a greater awareness of our true spiritual nature.

 Higher Perspective
Higher Perspective

When we are centered and aware of this inner Presence there is a greater sense of peace, a greater sense of ease and grace and a natural flow of the experience of prosperity and abundance.

The following is an excerpt from a recent post by Rev. Janette Freeman in which she poses some powerful questions regarding consciousness and a miraculous way of living.

As you read, I invite you to substitute the word “prosperous” for the words “consciousness”, “abundance” and “miraculous.”

Rev. Jeanette writes:

“What if the nature of consciousness was the new dynamic field of exploration?competence-diagram

“What if the mind and the inner life- when acted upon and used wisely, could open up a whole new miraculous way of living?

“Could we be the scientist in our own life? Would we want to discover new vistas?

Rev. Jeanette concludes this excerpt with these probing questions, “Will there be a time when healing, restoration, love, abundance and supply are all clearly a result of consciousness expressing itself? Where this is the normal understanding of how life works?”

Co-Creators With God

My response to this questioning excerpt is….yes, the time will come and can we say that it is now upon us to access it more consciously.

Can we say that what we now consider to be the miraculous [prosperous], is now becoming the norm as a result of our evolving consciousness?

The good news is, as co-creators with the Universe we are not alone. It is a joint venture.

Think about it, if it is God’s good pleasure to give us the kingdom,  then our part is to allow it.

Discern Action
Discern Action

Allowing is NOT passive, but inspired action resulting from dedication, time and energy to doing the INNER WORK.

Allowing IS consciously reminding ourselves that we are a part of a spiritually perfect and abundant universe and connected to the Source of all supply.

Attention to what- Is Only Creates More of What-Is

When challenges happen, you may choose to allow yourself time to indulge in self-pity which is a natural part of the human grieving process.

But also know, when you are ready, you can use the situation as a wakeup call.

You can wake up and remind yourself that moaning, groaning, and complaining only compounds and blocks the flow of what you truly want.

Shifting your focus from what you don’t have to an appreciation of what you DO have, opens you to a consciousness of possibility and puts you on track in the direction of where you want to go.

I love the way Abraham-Hicks presents this idea in the book, The Astonishing Power of Emotions. emo-guide-scaleThey adamantly declare , “… Negative emotions exist only when you are mis-creating. And so, when you recognize that you  are feeling negative emotions -no matter why, no matter how it got there, no matter what the situation is – – – Stop doing whatever it is that you were doing and focus your thoughts on something that feels better.”

It is a way of life that requires Practice, Practice, Practice!

True abundance/prosperity is not visible outside of yourself. It is not in the material world, It is within the invisible spiritual world in you.

To achieve and sustain this kind of abundance consciousness, it requires as your primary concern, the commitment to first seek the Kingdom, which Jesus proclaims is within you,

The good news is, with consistent committed practice, it eventually becomes easier.  With an expanded  consciousness you attract what you want with more ease and grace.

Commitment12-2008finding_joy_in_the_journey requires the joyful discipline of consistent mental, emotional and spiritual work in order to sustain an expanded consciousness.

I like to call the disciplines of inner spiritual work….blissiplines. When you apply discipline to what you are passionate about, you are into the blissipline stratosphere.

Prosperity Consciousness – An Inside Job

From a list of several practices (more will be offered in the next post), the following 4 are offered in no particular order (they are all important). The intention is to support you in exploring your inner powers of achieving and/or expanding your awareness of your true spiritual nature and cultivating prosperity consciousness..

  • Practice 1. Become Willing. It is the willingness to do the spiritual work needed to build a fuller awareness of  the Divine Presence within.
  • Practice 2. Make Prayer and Meditation a Priority. Prayer is connecting with God. In prayer, you create
    Still and Nature
    Stillness and Nature

a sacred space in which you commune with God. Meditation is entering into that place where you can listen to the “still, small voice,” and hear the truth of your being.

  • Practice 3. Let Go and Let God. This means letting go of focusing on the problem—and even letting go again and again as necessary.
  • Practice 4. Trust the Process. The paradox is, while you are a co-creator with God, it is God who is working through you, as you.

For it is [not your strength, but it is] [a]God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing [desire] and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.” – Philippians 2:13

To be continued with more practices you may use to create and/or expand your prosperity consciousness….

Until then….use the above powerful practices from the intention of  becoming who you have come here to be.

If you know someone who desires more peace, calm and abundance consciousness in their life, do them a favor and share this post with them.
