Attitude Is Everything
Practicing gratitude is a very powerful tool to shift your attention from the things you don’t have to the things you do have and this alone will make you feel better. The following humorous story illustrates the power of an attitude of gratitude. Enjoy!
“Well,” she said, “I think I’ll braid my hair today.”? So she did and she had a wonderful day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.
“Hmmmmmmmm, ” she said, “I think I’ll part my hair down the middle today.”? So she did and she had a grand day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn’t a single hair on her head.
“YEAH!” she exclaimed, “I don’t have to fix my hair today!”
Thanksgiving is a time for family, friends, and togetherness, and as Meister Eckhart reminds us, “If the only prayer you say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough.”
